North Shore Logistics handles all types of flatbed, step
deck and double-drop trailer freight in full truck loads,
LTL / partial loads, over-size & over-weight specialized
shipments like cranes and earth movers. We ship throughout
the continental United States, Canada and Mexico.
The key information we require is origin, destination, commodity,
and size of shipment. We find reliable carriers whose traffic
patterns allow us to establish competitive freight rates
to save our customers’ money.
North Shore Logistics is fully committed to working with
only reliable, professionals (screened individually by NSL)
offering fast service and competitive freight terms. In
return for superior service we offer our carriers regular
business, payment options and reliable accessible dispatch,
and competitive rates. The majority of our loads are moved
with proven carriers we have had first hand experience with.
North Shore Logistics appreciates each one of its carriers
as a valuable link in the transportation process. We understand
that our success is largely due to our high quality carriers
who contract with us.
Our carriers must meet the following criteria:
1. Been in business successfully for at least 1 year.
2. Carry minimum cargo insurance of $100,000 and $1,000,000
liability insurance.
3. Operate small to midsize fleets.
4. Have a central dispatch with the ability to make after
hours contact.
5. Agree to and sign our Broker/Carrier contract.
6. Have updated equipment no more than 5 years old.
Tender your shipment to NSL and don’t make another
call. We keep you up-to-date on it’s progress as well
as all parties involved in the shipment.

On-Going Customer Communication
We stay in constant communication first alerting you to
the identification of a truck for your load. Proactive alerts
to the on-going status of your shipment continue until delivery.
On-Going Driver Communication
We speak to the drivers of our shipments directly to ensure
both customer and truck line requirements are thoroughly
understood. Trucks are tracked each step of the trip from
pick-up through delivery.
Simple Trailer Selection

to accommodate your freight. As there are many choices of
equipment and service options for shipping flatbed type
freight we are pleased to offer our years of experience

Flatbed Partial Load Shipments
For shippers not requiring an entire trailer and able to
accommodate more transportation time try our flatbed LTL
shipping to significantly reduce shipping expenses.
Flatbed Shipping to Canada
NSL offers same trailer service with no trailer changes
at the border to save time, handling expenses & provide
protection against cargo damage.
Expedited Service
NSL fast flatbed service for time critical shipments.
Project Cargo Managers
We offer years of experience coordinating truck logistics
of plant equipment & machinery moving with rigging companies
& millwrights. We regularly handle oversize and overweight
freight shipments.
Supplemental Cargo Insurance
All our carriers provide liability and cargo damage insurance.
For higher value shipments and peace of mind we can also
offer additional insurance protection for your freight via
a separate Shippers Interest Insurance policy. This coverage
can easily be purchased from NSL for an additional fee.
